If this is anywhere near as nice as some vegetarian burgers I made for our granddaughter I know it will be amazing, and this is coming from a dedicated meat eater. Perhaps I can can make this as well as the bacon free zucchini slice at Christmas. Thank you
I'm mostly a traditional gal but this year I am wanting to add an indigenous people recipe to our table. Your Shawarma mushroom and carrot loaf sounds delightful...must try soon! Happy Holidays!
Pretty sure I'll make this...Red Bean Soup with Toasted Spiced Sunflower Seeds. Red kidney beans are thought to have originated in Peru around 8,000 B.C. They were spread by migrating tribes and became an important protein source for Native Americans.
This sounds delicious! Years ago I made a veggie burger "thanksgiving loaf" with mushroom gravy spooned over.... I'm loving the cheese here and the tahini drizzle.
I love the gravy idea too! I was considering it but got lazy as I tend to do and thought tahini drizzle was better with shawarma spice LOL. Love your thanksgiving burger idea
Sounds wonderful. Do you line the whole loaf pan or just the bottom?
For insurance you can line the sides too. I actually didn’t line the sides and it came out fine. The bottom is where it can stick

I just had a slice for dinner! It’s so good and keeps well. Your zucchini slice sounds great (sans bacon for me LOL)

it worked great
Yay sorry I missed your first question. I don’t get notifications for new comments. But great that it worked!!
I suddenly wish I had a fridge full of vegetables, go figure!!!!!
That’s the EXACT vibe I’m going for.
OMG this non-traditional tradition of rule-breaking sounds so delicious. I love it.

Just what I needed to complete my thanksgiving meal!
YAY
How do I make this without the cheese?
If I need to make this non-dairy (no cheese) what should I do?
It will be fine without. You could add so
Nutritional yeast which would help with adding body to the loaf.
