I’m nowhere near a vegetarian or vegan, but I do enjoy your posts and your recipes. I don’t ever buy tofu as my husband doesn’t like it, but treated well I find it quite enjoyable. Two of our grandchildren have gone the vegetarian way, although one goes in fits and starts. He amuses me by saying he won’t eat fish or pork due to how they are killed, and is also trying to be sustainable, but will eat chicken, lamb and beef, go figure!

Thanks sally! I always say, my recipes are not only for vegetarians but for everyone. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to enjoy vegetables ;)) the transition to vegetarianism can be hard but the fact they have the intention is a good start. Tell them to keep cooking delicious food, they will hopefully not miss the meat 🥰

One of my chores as a kid was to grind the old bread for breadcrumbs. My mother made delicious topping with them. She used them with fruit dumplings, noodles and vegetables. Once a week she steamed a huge mix of veggies and covered them with crunchy breadcrumbs. To this day, it is the handiest and versatile fruit topping. I know. Right up there with a squeeze of lemon.
